Roselovers Monthly Meeting Venue.
St Williams Catholic Church is the location where Roselovers meet for the monthly meetings and Friendship days. Physical Address is 67 Dawson Parade, Keperra, (Grovely Parish) Qld 4053. The meeting room is the community hall beside the main church auditorium.
From Wardell Street turn into Samford Road and follow out towards Samford until you see the large water reservoir on the hill. Turn down Dawson Parade(lights) and at the next set of pedestrian lights is St Williams Church(on the right) . Park in the church car park. Plenty of parking is available on Saturday afternoon at no cost. There is an access ramp into the community hall.
By train and foot:
Catch the train to Keperra Railway Station or Oxford St Railway Station and walk to the Community Hall.
The room has the capacity for about 100 seated patrons as a presentation room. The attendance at Roselovers meeting is around 30 to 50 members so the hall is half filled (with less than 60 seats maximum). The other half of the room is available for demonstrations and afternoon teas so the chairs remain in place for the whole meeting. There is a reasonably sized kitchen area including a sink that can be used during the presentations. Roselovers store raffle prizes and regalia in the locked cupboard near the entrance. We use sponsors products as raffle prizes.
Projector and Computer Facilities
There is a complete sound system with a windows computer that will take a USB PowerPoint presentation. The Audio system has two microphones and is integrated with the Computer facilities. The Catholic Church has a link to the catholic internet system but we cannot access this internet service on Saturday. There is a CD that can be connected to the Computer using a USB connection. Appropriate IT staff may not be available as we have had difficulty getting sound to work through the CD and computer system. With the right cables you can connect your laptop to the computer system and get sound to work. You can access the internet through your laptop using mobile phone technology.
There is a toilet key in the community hall. The toilets must be closed after the meeting.
